A New Season

So it begins… the new year.

I have to report that for me it really didn’t start until yesterday. The whole weekend felt like an extension of the previous one, still lingering like a bad childhood memory. But Monday brought with it a new energy to deal with, getting out of the house and going to the office for a change. It was refreshing and most welcomed.

Today I’m excited. A new chapter is beginning and it promises newness, effort, and change. Much of the same issues from 2020 are still pending resolution, but there is a way forward, and that’s what we need to focus on. A vaccine is accessible (whether you agree to it or not), businesses are rethinking strategies (that may sound scary, but the only certain thing is change), and opportunities are presenting themselves. Look for them, there are choices available.

I’m laughing by myself writing this because I can hear you on your side thinking “What is she smoking?”. Sadly, nothing. I am just high on life (and two cups of coffee) and that by itself brings optimism. Life always finds a way, and we are part of life… we are one with LIFE. Seasons prove that magic happens in cycles. Don’t let your magic pass you by. Own it. Possess it as if it is the only certainty, because I think it is.

I had a good chunk of time reflecting on how I wanted my new year to be like. We are the creators of our reality, and this dream of mine needs to be reshuffled. I came to the conclusion that I really don’t need new resolutions; I just need to continue on the same ones I’ve been working on. That looks like a lot of running, a lot of writing, and a lot of yoga. There is a genius inside that wants to come out. I just need to let it come through.

How are you doing on your new year? What genius are you hiding inside of you?
